We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization driven by the belief that everyone has the basic human right to food. Founded in 1990, when five area churches came together to provide nutritional support to people in need, the Poultney Food Shelf has grown to serve residents of Poultney, Middletown Springs, Vermont, and Hampton, New York. We rely on support from the Vermont Foodbank, along with the generosity of private donors and volunteers, to carry out our mission.
